The Russian blog mentions the same build string number as the one provided by sources close to the software giant, namely 7601.17514.101119-1850 for the RTM version of Windows 7.

If this is indeed Windows 7 RTM, then the Build was signed off on November 19th, 2010, which means that sources claiming that SP1 would be released to manufacturing by the end of 2010, were also right.

With the exception of the Microsoft Russia Windows Virtualization blog, the Redmond company hasn’t confirmed officially the release to manufacturing of Windows 7 SP1.

This is also valid for the availability of the service pack, although sources indicate that Microsoft partners will be getting the RTM bits soon, as soon as today in fact.
